The G-Loomis Salmon and Steelhead IMX Hotshot Casting rod has a relatively high tip and magnum butt section. Designed to fish salmon and steelhead plugs. When a fish hits the plug, the magnum butt-section actually sets the hook by the force created by the strike. The nature of this rod design makes it a great casting and fish fighting tool. The IMX technology makes this freshwater fishing rod light and sensitive, but also very effective for many different applications.
